A loss of ₹271 crore a year ago, a profit of ₹946 crore this year. MRPL’s April–June 2026 number is dramatic, and it is also easy to misread, because a big part of it was a one-off gain.
The 2025 target year has already passed. We do not present an old target as a current forecast. This page shows where the company stands now and what a 2030 view could look like.
Quick answer
No one can say what the MRPL share price will be in 2030. Starting from about ₹175 and assuming 0%, 8% or 15% growth a year, the example prices for 2030 are ₹175, ₹240 or ₹305. These show how compounding works. They are not forecasts.
Where the stock stands
| Item | Figure |
|---|---|
| Results day (16 July 2026) | rose about 9% to 13% intraday; high near ₹178.4 |
| Latest price we found (22–23 July 2026) | ₹174.66 |
| 52-week range | ₹120.40 to ₹212.31 |
What the April–June 2026 results show
| Measure | Apr–Jun 2026 | Comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Net profit (consolidated) | about ₹945.7 crore | loss of ₹270.7 crore a year earlier |
| Revenue | about ₹41,609 crore | about +98% year on year (one outlet quotes +46%, which is the quarterly change) |
| One-time gain included | ₹471.76 crore | price revision on earlier supplies |
| Earnings per share | ₹5.40 | loss of ₹1.54 a year earlier |
| Refinery throughput | 4.43 million tonnes | about +25.9% year on year |
EBITDA is reported differently: some outlets show about ₹1,860 crore and others about ₹1,318 crore. We leave it out. Without the one-time gain, profit would have been about ₹474 crore, still far better than a loss.
Why refinery profit is hard to predict
A refinery earns the gap between what it pays for crude oil and what it sells fuels for. That gap, called the refining margin, can change quickly. One strong quarter does not mean the next will repeat it, so a long-term target on this stock is mostly a guess about oil and fuel margins.
Scenarios for 2030
The formula is simple: future price = starting price × (1 + yearly growth) ^ number of years. The growth rates below are examples picked to show a range. They are not analyst targets.
- Cautious (0% a year): margins fall back and profit returns to weaker levels.
- Steady (8% a year): throughput stays high and margins are average.
- Strong (15% a year): margins stay strong for years and new projects help.
| Year | Cautious (0% a year) | Steady (8% a year) | Strong (15% a year) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2027 | ₹175 | ₹190 | ₹200 |
| 2028 | ₹175 | ₹205 | ₹230 |
| 2029 | ₹175 | ₹220 | ₹265 |
| 2030 | ₹175 | ₹240 | ₹305 |
What could help
- Higher refinery volumes (throughput up about 26%).
- Good refining margins.
- Support from its parent, a large oil and gas PSU.
What could hurt
- Volatile refining margins.
- One-time gains inflating profit.
- Crude oil price swings.
- Government pricing and policy decisions.
What ₹1,00,000 could become (example)
| Scenario | Yearly growth assumed | Value in 2030 | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cautious | 0% | ₹1,00,000 | +₹0 |
| Steady | 8% | ₹1,37,100 | +₹37,100 |
| Strong | 15% | ₹1,74,300 | +₹74,300 |
What to track every quarter
- Revenue and net profit compared with the same quarter last year.
- Operating margin (EBITDA margin) and whether it is rising or falling.
- Debt level and interest cost.
- Order book or new deals, if the company reports them.
- Promoter holding and any pledge of shares.
- Dividend and other corporate announcements on NSE and BSE.
Key terms in simple words

Where sources disagree, we say so instead of picking one quietly. Scenario tables use a simple formula and are examples, not predictions. We do not take payment to publish targets. Found a mistake?
